If you take time out and think about it, the black community is diminishing everyday. With every relationship (interracial) that is created the black community gets smaller. This epidemic of interracial relationships will soon make the black community disappear due to the lack of balck families. Maybe im not getting my point across as clrealy as I would like to. A white man/woman and a black man/woman does not produce a black baby. The baby is culturally mixed. Then that baby will get with a caucasion man or woman and produce an even more culturally complexed child. Before we know it black and white will no longer exist. There will be no such thing as a black person and a white person because of the cultural complexities that will have taken place so many times that people will not know what culture they are really from. This will give a whole new meaning to WEB Dubios' term of double conciousness. We are literally redefining the term into meaing mutli conciousness.
To the black family this is a danger because our family values and morals and traditions are ruined. They will become mixed and intertwined with other cultural traditions.
This leads one to think, are we disrespecting our ancestors traditions that they have passed down to us? What will happen to the values and tradtions that have been handed down to us? Our culture value will completely evaporate. All of the songs, stories, and traditions will no longer exist in this world. I offer no answer as to what to do about this situation just offer a thought about a silent epidemic that is slowly taking place.
